UDHA VACANCY POSTS OCTOBER, 2019

  1. Post; Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (HIV/TB Project

Qualification required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatics, Quantitative Economics, Bachelors of Economics, Bachelors of Demography and Reproductive Health any other related Filed.
  • Post graduate qualification in relevant fields: PMM, M&E, Statistics or its equivalent
  • 5. years of experience working in development projects
  • Understanding of TB, HIV and AIDS and health Systems strengthening issues is preferable
  • Familiar with growing NGOs’ work in Uganda
  • Presentation, facilitation and training skills
  • Familiar with health system functions in Uganda
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Analytical and report writing skills
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude to team work

Duties of post

  • Lead assessments and operational research for contextual understanding, identifying opportunities, vulnerabilities and capacities, to guide programming and priority setting
  • Develop plans and user-appropriate quality tools, instruments and control systems that guarantee proper management of information and data at all levels
  • Assist Program and District Based Managers to develop systematic and realistic performance monitoring plans that capture quantitative and qualitative data to report on project performance indicators.
  • Coordinate the implementations of baseline surveys, follow-on monitoring and evaluation exercises for UDHA’s projects.
  • Build capacity of partners and staff on data management, data analysis and results-oriented programming, monitoring and evaluation and report writing techniques and requirements.
  • Develop program and operational reporting templates that facilitate the acquisition and aggregation of information in programs.
  • Take lead and coordinate technical annual, quarterly & monthly reporting according to defined reporting schedules and write regular monitoring and technical reports as required.
  • Facilitate documentation and reporting of assessments, program data, lessons learnt and best practices for internal and external sharing.
  • Develop and maintain effective information database on projects, providing resources and necessary support for program inputs and outputs.
  • Provide assistance to senior management of the organization in identifying donor resources, raising funds and writing proposals for long-term sustainability.
  • Develop communications material for the organization such as brochure, website, annual reports, newsletters, DVDs etc.
  • Implement specific project activities and ensure effectiveness and adherence to guidelines.
  • Supervise staff and ensure all planned activities are implemented as per work plans
  • Perform any other duties assigned to you from time to time by your supervisors.

Qualification required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatics, Quantitative Economics, Bachelors of Economics, Bachelors of Population and Demography and Reproductive Health any other related Filed.
  • A qualification in the relevant fields: PMM, M&E, Statistics or its equivalent is an added advantage.
  • 1 year of experience working in development projects.
  • Understanding of TB, HIV and AIDS and health Systems strengthening issues is preferable
  • Familiar with growing NGOs’ work in Uganda
  • Presentation, facilitation and training skills
  • Familiar with health system functions in Uganda
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Analytical and report writing skills
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude to team work
  • Good computer skills in MS office, SPSS, EPI INFO, STATA and Basic internet applications.
  • Valid driving license
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Ability to work multi task and beat deadlines on a regular basis

Project Accountant (Umbrella Project)

Qualification required

  • An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Commerce (Accounting option) or Business Administration (Accounting option) or Business Studies (Accounting option) or Finance and Accounting from a recognized Institution;
  • Professional qualification in Accountancy such as ACCA, CPA, ACIS and CPE obtained from a recognized awarding Institution/body accredited by ICPAU from a recognized Institution A MUST

Competences

  • Financial Management, Planning, Budgeting and Coordination, Coaching and Mentoring, Accountability; Ethics and Integrity; and Team work

4. Title of vacant post: Office Assistant

  • A Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UAC) or (UCE) with a pass in English Language. Additional training in Records Information Management, Communicating Effectively, Social Work Social Administration, Office Management or Public Relations and Customer Care will be an added advantage.

Job Descriptions:

  • Cleaning office premises and ensuring that the offices are properly locked and collected and deliver items, ensure errands timely done. Collecting and delivering office documents, mails and parcels as instructed.
